I am a Visual Learner

Visual learners
Visual learners attend to information most effectively when they see something, for example, pictures, diagrams, films and videos or demonstrations. Check to see if some of the following characteristics may apply to you.

Behaviours/ characteristics of visual learners:
Remember what they see rather than what they hear
Remember diagrams and pictures
Prefer to read and write rather than listen
Have trouble remembering verbal instructions
Need an overall view and purpose before beginning a project
Like art more than music
Sometimes tune out when trying to pay attention.

Study hints for visual learners:
Take written notes in lectures & class
Use colours to highlight important points
Pay attention to diagrams, charts and pictures in text books
Use mindmaps ( with colours & diagrams) to organise information for an assignment or for revision for an exam.
Put summaries and mindmaps on the walls in your study area
Use a wall planner.

  1. Well done!
Now you have your own blog published on the internet.
    How exciting!

The next step is to reflect on your learning styles.
Make comments about how you can learn best in the style that suits you.
There could be a preference for more than one style.
    If so, write about both.
Which questions in the quiz do you remember that relate best to you?
Do the links at the bottom of this quiz have any further information that you could use for your goals and strategies?
Remember that your goals and strategies really need to be finalised by next Monday 7th June.

If you get stuck, you could revisit the model blog at http://mariamutamo.blogspot.com/
Read Mariam’s reflections on E7, goals and strategies for improved learning.
You can then write on your blog in a similar way.

This week, reflect on your experiences in E7.
Let your thoughts and feelings flow. There are no right answers. Write freely, and remember, you can edit your posts later on.
